Leading Vietnamese fashion designer Nguyen Cong Tri (right) opened the
first international fashion week (December 6-12) in Viet Nam last night
in HCM City.
Viet Nam will host the first International Fashion Week in HCM City this
December with leading Vietnamese designers presenting their collections
with their Asian and international counterparts.
Designer Nguyen Cong Tri will launch his latest haute couture
collection titled "The Purity of Water" at a show to be held in Vicenza,
Italy, from May 8 to 11.
A year-long programme to celebrate the 40th
anniversary of Viet Nam-UK diplomatic relations was kicked-off in HCM
City early this week with a fashion show by designer Cong Tri and a
performance by the UK a cappella group Black Voices.
The nation''s premier fashion event will take viewers
on a "unique" journey from the catwalk to the sidewalk this year,
presenting conceptual and applied creations of five top designing
talents in Viet Nam.
